LEVERAGING USER-GENERATED CONTENT

As one of the oldest John Deere dealers in the country, our client WADE, INC., is a leader in the communities they serve. One of the many ways they show their support is via sponsorship of the SEC schools in their markets.
When a local TV station approached us regarding opportunities to celebrate Mississippi State University’s College World Series national championship win, we knew WADE was a perfect fit.
The Challenge: Footage
The spot we were approached about needed to be at least 15 seconds in length. Footage from the university could not be secured due to trademark regulations. Undeterred, our team got to work thinking of alternatives that could accommodate a quick turnaround.
The Solution: User-Generated Content
We put out a call asking people who attended the championship game to share videos and photos from their time at the event, and we were flooded with content. The result was a fun, congratulatory video to honor the national champions with a focus on the fans.
Although WADE offers customers awesome products, sometimes shining the spotlight on the people impacted by the brand packs a bigger punch. In addition to TV, the spot was shared on social media. As of the time this blog was written, this piece has reached more than 13,000 people (and counting) online. A creative solution and a quick turnaround time led to great results for our client, something we’re always happy to see!
