The fascinating world of Vidalia onions is one of those, “if you know, you know,” kind of  things. But THAT’S the problem: not enough people understand how captivating and complex this crop truly is. From everything it takes to actually grow one of these onions to the lore that surrounds them, they’re arguably one of the most interesting crops in America. That’s why we were thrilled to spend time with Aries Haygood of A & M Farms on April 17, 2024 - aka that year’s pack date. (If you aren’t sure why that’s important, well, read this award-winning blog we wrote!) The opportunity here was to shed more light on the Vidalia onion industry, specifically A & M Farms, along with the relationship with John Deere equipment dealer, Lasseter Tractor Company.
